In case anyone missed it, Keith Olberman read a poem yesterday on his MSNBC program “Countdown” entitled “An Ode To Sean Hannity”. The poem was written by John Cleese, former member of the classic British comedy troupe Monty Python, and it expresses perfectly the sentiments of The Scorpion’s Tail and the countless scores of intelligent human beings the world over who find Mr. Hannity to be, for lack of a better word, pathetic. The poem is as follows:
An Ode To Sean Hannity, by John Cleese
Aping urbanity, oozing with vanity,
plump as a manatee, faking humanity
journalistic calamity, intellectual inanity
Fox noise insanity, you’re a profanity, Hannity
The poem should win an award of some sort, possibly a Nobel prize. Personally, I prefer to call Hannity a worthless piece of crap and be done with it.
